Open Call & Poster/Paper Submission

Would you like to participate in SUGRS 2024?

This open call for paper and poster presentations applies to ALL Graduate Students enrolled in any college/program. Both on-campus and online graduate students are encouraged to participate.

  • Do you need a practice run for a national conference presentation??
  • Do you have an idea that you want to share for feedback or collaboration?
  • Do you have research you completed in 2023-2024 or before that you want to present?

For 2024, SUGRS events will be in person and virtual, with in person events being held at each partner university. Students may participate as individuals or groups. All areas of research are welcome and there are no limitations on field/topic, though a faculty advisor is required. As our main goal is experience and feedback, students may submit more than one proposal.

Proposal Abstracts may represent completed, in progress, or proposed research; program evaluation; conceptual frameworks; literature reviews; or professional skill development for innovative, evidence-based services. In- process research is welcome.

Presenters chosen as best poster and paper/roundtable presentations will receive an Annual Symposium Award, including research funds!

Proposal Structure

Presentation TitleTitle can be up to 12 words maximum.
Abstract (For categories 1-3):150-250 words. Should include research topic/statement of problem, research questions, method, participants, results, data analysis, and conclusions.
Abstract (For categories 4-6):150-250 words. Should include statement of issue/problem, focus of poster or paper, brief summary of research foundation/conceptual framework, research conclusions from the literature review, and/or innovative, evidence-based services that will be presented.

IRB ApprovalIf you are submitting in process or completed research and program evaluation that included working with human subjects, you will be required to submit proof of IRB approval with your poster or paper submission.
